If You are Approved for Social Security Disability

You will receive a monthly benefit based on your past earning. Retroactive benefits are payable for the time you waited for the appeal process. Benefits can go back as far as one year prior to your initial application (after five-month waiting period). Your unmarried children under age 18 may also be entitled to monthly cash benefits.

Once you have been eligible for Social Security Disability for 24 months, you will become eligible for Medicare.

If you live in the following South Jersey counties, please call for a free consultation: Gloucester County, Camden County, Burlington County, Cumberland County, Salem County, Ocean County, Atlantic County and Cape May County. Call (856) 513-6362.

Tip of the Day

If your Social Security Disability or SSI claim is denied, don't give up. You need to appeal the denial within 60 days of the date of the denial letter. You can start a new application, but that is not the same as appealing. You can lose out on benefits if you don't appeal.
